The Not-So-Grand Marquis rolls out of Wrigley's garage, is headed to Colorado

MLB: JUL 01 Cubs v Giants
The Chicago Cubs have officially shipped Jason Marquis to Colorado in exchange for reliever Luis Vizcaino.

Vizcaino joins a revamped Cub bullpen that lost Kerry Wood and Bobby Howry, but added Kevin Gregg, David Patton (Rule V draft pick) and Jeff Stevens (acquired in the Mark DeRosa trade). Personally, I doubt Vizcaino, who pitched quite well for the 2005 White Sox, will even suit up in Cubbie blue pin stripes. But it doesn't matter, because Marquis is gone.

The Rockies will love his bat, as the move to Coors Field will help him launch 30 home runs. Unfortunately, he will give up at least 30.

Good luck with that.

Dumping the big bucks of Marquis and DeRosa, key additions from two offseasons ago, allows the Cubs to have payroll flexibility. Now go get Jake Peavy!
