Behind the strength of Larry Warner's career-best 256 rushing yards, the SIU football team was able to withhold a late rally by the University of North Dakota to win 40-21.

One week after running for a career-best 168 yards in the Salukis' 23-17 win at Missouri State, Warner eclipsed those marks with a 256-yard, two touchdown performance.

Warner, Richard White and the rest of the Saluki rushers combined to run the ball 42 times for 323 yards.

The victory moves SIU's record to 6-2 overall as Dale Lennon beats his alma mater and former employer for the first time.

And for those of you wondering, yes, he did get his "bachelor pad" cleaned up.

I, for one, am proud of coach and will follow in his footsteps as I attempt to clean up my bachelor pad.
