After a fight broke out during opening day at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., and I learned today that the man has since died.
And even more bad news this morning as several outlets reported that super prospect starting pitcher Nick Adenhart and several others were killed in a car accident after Adenhart's strong six shutout innings against the Oakland A's Wednesday night.
It's so unfair to hear people die of causes they can't control. As far as we know, Adenhart and his passengers were struck by a drunk driver. The driver then fled the scene but was arrested a short time later.
My thoughts are with the Angels organization.
